I regret you did not try the procedure I outlined before you passed judgement on it. If you had tried the procedure I expect you would have fouNote that doing so will create an invalid PDF (.
Please do NOT try to edit a PDF using text editors...

You can get to all the PDF operators just fine.
Font & text information is more easily referenceable from tNo it 's not possible.
Nor will you find any PDF library that will offer that due to the way
that PDF is structured. See the other current discussion about "how
to read text on a page "...
LeonWhy can 't you just purchase/license a 3rd party tool that can do this
for you? There are a variety of them available for various OS
platforms.

Let me give you an example of the content stream of a simple
PDF page showinI don 't see anything wrong but who knows. Posta a complete example needed
to create the barcode including the data.
