I would like to suggest a strategy for you.
First try and list all the user actions performed in your application, like
user does an Add Operation, he does a Modify etc.
Then try and design a frame work for the user actions to be handled by your
web application using web technologies.
Then see what all existing code can be reused.......rather if you try and
design your application with an intention to reuse your existing code, you
may not turn up a good web based application.

Since you would be using a WebSphere Server you may not require to use
Thread Classes at all....since the application server takes care of all the
multi threading needs for the application instance. Just validate this with
your requirement.

We r converting a client/server app to websphere based web application. In
our client/server application we have tons of shell scripts,c files and
java programs which used threads.

Whats the best conversion strategies for
UNIX shell scripts ? C programs ?
How can the thread class be reused ?
