[iText-questions] XML - PDF examples

Hi all,

i am very interested in the new example of XML -> PDF (the
romeo&juliet example).

one problem with it is that there is no example of how to make tables
in it. i m working on producing reports and it's based on tables.
currently the reports are in html format, i think it would be easy to
make some change from html to xml.

is there any document or example showing how to construct an xml file
which iText can understand to convert it to PDF file?

I saw some examples from the old tutorial:
http://www.lowagie.com/iText/tutorial/ch07.html

but in the very begining of the tutorial it says: The XML to PDF part
in iText is for the moment 'discontinued', but if you are looking for
an XML Front End for iText, you may want to take a look at UJAC
(Useful Java Application Components).
this really confuses me.

could you give me some hints on doing the XML->PDF convertion?

Thanks.
