Good day to iText users/authors,
I have some very rudimentary questions about your product. We use it in
our company to generate PDF files, and our needs are changing...I am not
a programmer or direct user.
Does iText use the "infamous" PDFWriter driver that came out years ago
with one of the first Adobe Acrobat Reader releases?
The same one that Dov Isaacs (Adobe Principal Scientist) recommends be
removed from almost any system in the world, that it should not be used
to generate PDF that contain any more than text?

step 2: the Writer object:
Once our Document is created, we can create one or more instances of
writers that listen to this document. All writers should be derived from
the abstract class com.lowagie.text.DocWriter. For the moment there are

Can iText create bookmarks and hyperlinks in PDF that it generates?
We want to generate PDF from iText that have hyperlinks to other PDF.
We're generating PDF within a specified directory structure and naming
convention, and they should also have bookmarks to those other files.
I truly appreciate any information you can share, or let me know if you
need more information.
