Are you using an IDE in your development?
It is quite apparent you are facing difficulties with the elements of
java development rather than with jdom.
You could try using community software like Eclipse or Netbeans, where
there are definite libraries you have to set up and you are guided thro
locating those libraries. If you are developing for JEE (formerly J2EE),
I find Netbeans easier to set up and use. I believe that either JBuilder
or Netbeans easy to install and learn for beginners, while Eclipse puts
you through more abstract and convoluted ways to set up your resources.
