Looking for feedback on a small project

Looking for feedback on a small project

All,

Sorry to spam the list, but this is at least semi-relevant to many
readers and posters. Please make any responses off-list to avoid
pollution. Thanks.

I'm just about ready to release a small project to help unit test
URLConnections. Basically, it provides a loopback URL-handling protocol
that you can use to check to ensure that your code that deals with
network stuff works properly, even under less-than-idea situations.

You can use it to simulate broken HTTP servers, "not found" errors, etc.
that are often inconvenient to set up in other ways (like putting static
files on a web server just for testing).

It is basically a much more flexible and extended version of the ideas
articulated in this JavaWorld article from quite a while ago:

http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-07-2002/jw-0719-networkunittest-p2.html

Specifically, I'm looking for the following:

1. Peer feedback. I'd like to know what folks think about the idea of
the project, the code itself, and the perception of how easy it is to
use (it's pretty easy if you're already comfortable with writing unit
  tests).

2. Advice on choosing an OSS license. I would prefer one that allows
inclusion in a closed-source project, but also requires that
modifications be donated back to the project.

3. Suggestions for a home for the project. Sourceforge.net is a good
home, but if anyone involved with the Jakarta project seems
interested, the Commons project looks like a good place for it, too.

Thanks for your time everyone, and feel free to contact my off the list,
as I realize that this is pretty much list-pollution.
