Connection Error 2003-07-30 - By Arul Prakasam

Hi,
I have a problem associated with Java-DB2. Though it is irrelevant to ask this
kind of doubt in this forum. But this is the only forum I have subscribed to.
Hence I am putting the question to you all. So please excuse me.
I have DB2 8.1 Client installed in win2000. I have also Java 1.3.
My Connection String goes like this.
private Connection con = null;
Class.forName("com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver").newInstance();
con = DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:db2://14.18.2.232:50000/ibm_p630",
"dbinst1","password");
I am unable to establish the connection to the server.My Db2 Server is running
on Unix. I have checked the classpath, path also and I have my db2jcc.jar file
present in relevant directory where my Classpath points to. My Error goes likt
this..
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError  : java.sql.DriverManager : method getLogWriter()Ljava/
io/PrintWriter; not found
at com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver.connect(DB2Driver.java:224)
at java.sql.DriverManager (Compiled Code)
at java.sql.DriverManager (DriverManager.java:126)
at JavaDB2Work.DB.GetDBConnection.connect(GetDBConnection.java:128)
at JavaDB2Work.DB.CallDB.getConnection(CallDB.java:25)
at JavaDB2Work.DB.CallDB.main(CallDB.java:15)
Can Anyone help me to solve this problem. I am very new to Java Programming.
