Domain Store 2003-09-11 - By tetsuo
Back Well, let's talk about the new ones :)
I bought the 2nd edition of the book Core J2EE Patterns. And I say it's a really nice work, filling some more gaps and going ahead, towards a complete pattern language with the introduction of the microarchitecture concept.
However, I found the Domain Store pattern particularly complex, and if I got it right, it's some kind of abstract design for a homegrown JDO-like framework. Was it really necessary to include such pattern to the language? The 'forces' appointed are somewhat satisfied by the DAO pattern, with a much simpler design.
Any thoughts? Enough of off-topic EJB/Servlets questions! Let's go back to the pattern discussion!
