Hi,
  I do not know wht excatly you use, so here are some comments that may direct u ...

  1. When using the Oracle Thin/XA 8.1.7 driver, you cannot change the transaction isolation level for a transaction. Transactions use the default transaction isolation as set for the database.
  2. If u are using bean managed persistence and if u have specified "Transaction_Required" as the isolation level. If u try to acces the bean before starting the transcation then u will get this error.

When i run my j2ee application sometimes, i get the following error:
 
EXCEPTION userAccessExp java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01453: SET TRANSACTION must be first statement of transaction

Can anybody help me out as to why it arises and the solution for the same
