Thanks .. changed valve to "127.0.0.1" .. restarted server ..

Now Tomcat Administration launches .. but unfortunately the other two links
still do not work .. same error reports

Status
and
Tomcat Manager

In Tomcat Administration page I can see ..

Context (/admin)
Context (/manager)
(plus other entries)

c:\apache-tomcat-5.5.20\logs\manager.2006-12-28.log file is empty.
