Another +1 from me.
A couple oy years ago, our project moved from Struts(1) to Webwork. We had absolutely no problems to recharge our brains and I can still feel that breeze... :)

+1; if the developer is well-versed in S1 the move to S2 will literally
seem like a breath of fresh air and I'd almost guarantee equal or
greater productivity *very* quickly.
