Sorry to interfere, but :

If in windows 95/98/me , go to Start -> Run and type Telnet xxx 80
If in windows 2000/xp/2003, go to Start -> Run , type cmd , press enter, and
then telnet xxx 80
If in Linux , in a shell, type telnet xxx 80

And that's how the cookie crumble.
