You will notice that even though the document you are reading comes with 2.6,
it is really written for 2.4.x (check some of the text at the start of the
document). Hence the confusion. 2.6 is after all a candidate release and
usually the documentation is the last thing that gets updated. Therefore, if
you are just starting out, I recommend using 2.4.1, at it has accurate
documentation. Unless you are willing to put up with discrepancies as you found
and learn the Portal on your own.
