I don’t know if this is an iText problem, but I was wondering if anyone had run into a similar situation.  We’ve been using iText for the last 3 years in Websphere 5.1 without any problems.  Recently, we migrated to Websphere 6.1, and are having intermittent problems with our printed reports.  They will work fine for a time, but then all of a sudden, the formatting will go bad on all the reports within that app.  Reports within other applications on the same server are not affected.  If we restart the application, the printed reports go back to working fine.
