[iText-questions] Force an Image to be Grayscale

Replies:

Hi,

I have a very small PNG with a scanned signature, saved in grayscale.

I'm using iText to add that image to the bottom of some PDFs.

I'm also using a Xerox WorkCentre Pro C2128 to print large batches of documents. That printer has an accounting feature.

Now to the question. My PDF's, before the signature is added, are accounted as black and white printouts, but after the signature image is added with iText, each page with the signature is accounted as a color printout.

Is there any way to force iText or whatever is making the printer believe the input is in color to print in grayscale or B/W?

TIA.
