[iText-questions] footprint: iText real world usage

Yesterday I generated the first bundle of presence certificates using
https://footprint.dev.java.net/

Signed PDF documents were sent to 329 users of my JUG through a fully
automated process.

Technologies used in the project:

- iText: to fill the PDF and apply signature
- BouncyCastle: the security library
- OpenOffice: to generate the PDF template
- javax.mail: to send the documents
- CaCert: the certificate authority

- Java 5.0: the project is a training camp of Tiger features ;)

Project design, source code and the knowledge produced in this project
are public available - project license is LGPL.

Special thanks to Stefan Odendahl and Stefan Tramm for the friendly
guidance about digital certificates and also the endorsement required
to obtain a certificate from CaCert (web of trust).
