Hi,

If you can read the PDF you could quite as well put the information in an Acro
field and read it straight from there.

Barodes are always (as far as I can tell from 17 years of experience with
scanning and archival systems) used as a rasterized image (from scanners).

The way I test is, I print to Microsoft Imaging producing a Tiff file (say in
200dpi which should suffice) and then use a freeware called bcTester (you
guessed correctly : www.bctester.de then click the UK flag) to see if my
adujstments (dpi, size, position, type of barcode, white space,..) are ok.

Hope this helps,

/DI Gerold Krommer

Betreff: [iText-questions] IText - Barcodes

Hello,

I discovered IText las week and I generated my first barcode on a pdf file.
Now, I would like to know if there is a way to read this PDF file and extract
the information contained on the barcode.

Can anyone help me about that?

Thanks

Regards
