Subject: Add a newPage to a document with graphics 2007-10-08 - By nlif

Hi,
I'm new to iText and have a problem: I am rendering swing components and can't seem to start a new page. This is my code:
Document document = new Document(pageSize); PdfWriter writer = PdfWriter.getInstance(document, new FileOutputStream("c:\\test.pdf")); document.open(); PdfContentByte cb = writer.getDirectContent(); Graphics2D graphics = cb.createGraphics(pageSize.getWidth(), pageSize.getHeight());
writer.newPage(); component.paint(graphics);
graphics.dispose(); document.close();
(boiler-plate code ommitted)
The resulting PDF contains only one page. The component is properly rendered, just not on the second page as I wanted.
I tried using an example I found in the forum, using a Chunk instance, but that doesn't help either.
Thanks in advance, Naaman
