The easy way is to
1) pull the source version:
(Branch tomcat_40_branch)
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/jakarta-tomcat-4.0/catalina/src/share/org/apache/catalina/util/CookieTools.java?only_with_tag=tomcat_40_branch
2) Apply your patch
3) Compile. The lazy way is to have $CATALINA_HOME/server/lib and
$CATALINA_HOME/cmomon/lib in your compile classpath
4) Place the file in the $CATALINA_HOME/server/classes directory in the
appropriate dir structure. This dir has a higher classloader preference.
