Local interface and Remote interface

Local interface and Remote interface

All-
This question contains some technical questions too. sorry for that.

I am recently started implementing EJB's. First of all I wanted to what is the
right strategy for using LocalInterfaces (supported by ejb 2.0) over remote. I
know that it is going to save RMI call.

I try to define a local interface. When defining by ejb-jar.xml and weblogic
-ejb-jar.xml  (using weblogic 8.1) I have put the entries for both local and
remote. When I try to lookup for remote instance in the JNDI tree it works fine
wheereas it doesn't find the JNDI for the local bean, even if I can find in the
console.
I have deployed the ejb as a seperate jar . What I mean is that both the ejb
and web application is not in a single ear file.

Thanks alot
Ranjith
