Maybe nothing at all. I see the same error in my configuration, but everything seems to be working. Somebody on this list said some time ago that this message just shows that jk2 is initializing: http://www.mail-archive.com/tomcat-user@(protected)/msg101074.html There is also a Bugzilla bug report, but without an answer: http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=19044
