Confusing - Compression 5.0.16 - Filter or connector???

Confusing - Compression 5.0.16 - Filter or connector???

Howdy,
That's not at all trivial to answer.  The connector offers better performance
as Remy said.  How much better?  I don't know.  I haven't seen benchmarks, so
you might want to do a few JMeter runs on your server, one with the connector
compression and one with the filter.  If you use one, don't use the other.

You're only using one platform today -- will you have a more heterogeneous
environment in the future?  If no, than the portability argument I made
probably applies less to you, and you can use the connector without worry in
this regard.

The connector supports the compression min size argument, as documented in the
compression attribute.  It does not support the other two attributes of the
compression filter.
