I found very good instructions in both the Documentation section of the Tomcat site, and in the server.xml file itself. Look there. Make sure you use JDK 1.4.2_03 or higher (problem with expired CA certificate in previous versions).

Can someone please tell me how to configure SSL for tomcat 5. There seems to
be difference in the server.xml file from previous versions of tomcat so I
am unsure of what to edit or add to it.
