Hi,
I'm implementing PDF signatures using iText + BouncyCastle
(a Java Cryptography API, www.bouncycastle.org).
Up to the moment I have made a procedure to validate
detached PKCS#7 signatures (/Filter /Adobe.PPKLite /SubFilter
/adbe.pkcs7.detached).
Also I have made a program to sign a document but, although I
could verify the signature with my procedure, it fails
with Acrobat and Acrobat Reader (vers. 5 and 6), with the error
message "SigDict /Contents illegal data".
I have signed the documents with a X.509 v3 standard certificate
stored in a PKCS#12 file (it is not the autosigned certificate
generated by Acrobat).
Could someone please give me a hint what I need to do?
Thanks,
Luis Pascual
