We all know that JMS is in the official JMS spec, but that does not
preclude us looking for innovative alternatives. The Sun J2EE people do
not usually see JavaSpaces as fitting into their domain, but there are
systems which successfully use it to provide resilient, elastic
connectivity and to act as a "version tansition cushion." The Inquirer,
that renowned London-based electronic journal, is offering some free
software which is based on JavaSpaces. The URL is
