Go to http://archives.java.sun.com

Click "Subscriber's Corner" link on left menu.

Login with your subscribed email-id and password (if you dont know password, request for one from this page itself using the link provided and it will be mailed to you).

After login, you will see "Password Saved" page. In that page click "follow this link" link. Now you will be in "Subscriber's Corner" page and the mailing lists you have subscribed will be now listed on this screen. You can remove any subscription using this web-interface of listserv.

 I guess I'd go to the URL for the archives and see if you can find a
 form to submit. That's kinda lame, though, that it doesn't honor unsubs
 (and the out-of-office reply forwarding isn't so nice either). :(
