I'd say the Servlet. The single point servlet entrance is one of the
j2ee best practices that has emerged over the years. Both Struts
(apache.org) and Turbine (apache.org) uses this technique and in both it
acts as a controller. I'm quite convinced that there are several other
frameworks that uses the same approach.
