There are tons of Java UserGroups in the Yahoo domain.  Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/ and use the Search facility.  I run a not very active Jini/JavaSpaces Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jini_javaspaces/

 

This is not a technology that Sun likes to promote however.

this would be under the linux OS.

if i could find a group for new developers (with some reasonable traffic of
members) then i could get have a place to turn to if i have issues/problems
setting things up.
