Something occurred to me last night -- I forgot to remind you about a
certain symbolic link you need to make. You see, RH8 names the APR file
differently. Not sure if you did this :

*# ln -s /usr/lib/libapr-0.so.0.9.3 /usr/lib/libapr.so.0
