Double byte characters 2004-08-03 - By Srinivasa Sai Chakravarthy V (CTC)
Back Hi all,
I have a list of details which are in chinese language ,if i am exporting to excel these details they are showing as hashcodes.I try to convert them to unicode characters now excel is not able to recognize the unicodes and it is showing question marks. Can anybody tell me how excel recognizes this type of charecters.Suppose if we paste some double byte characters in excel, will show them as square boxes. If we convert the font to Arial-UnicodeMS excel recognises the font and show actual characters. How excel able to interpret the double byte characters. Can anybody help in this context to show the characters correctly.
Thanks & Regards V.s.s.Charaavrthy
